Regarding the news, “Lieutenant General Tsai, Hong-tu, Director of Political Welfare Office, Navy Command Headquarters showed his retirement for dissatisfaction of military pension reform,” Navy Command Headquarters claimed today (10th) that the report did not jibe with the fact, and the media should not make a pure conjecture to mislead and confuse the public.

Navy Command Headquarters also pointed out, Lieutenant General Tsai, Director of Political Welfare Office had already announced his intention to retire orally last year but decided to remain in Navy after having been persuaded. His application for retirement this time was simply for considering the promotion of the descendents and personal career planning; therefore, it was not the same as the content reported for “dissatisfaction of military pension reform.” Lieutenant Tsai was very upset by the reported content which had not been verified conveyed wrong information and misled the opinion of the public and requested the media to correct the content as soon as possible to fulfill the responsibility of being a public instrument.
